Flower / Opal 6

Belwar ran his hand over the shaft of his axe as he came back up into the common area of Trillomore's apartments. He couldn't begin to guess how much time had elapsed since they'd descended into Trillomore's lower chambers, though his face showed a measure of fatigue from performing stubbornly far outside one's comfort zone.

He searched the surface of his axe for any sort of sign he could possibly find that might confirm Trillomore's simple statement that it had been a success, but he found nothing.

"An ye be sure it warked?" he he stated as much as asked either of the two elves who ascended the ramp behind him.

"It worked." Trillomore answered. Somehow Belwar could feel the wry smile behind him. The elf sounded awfully tired to Belwar, like a human who had been awake for a full day and night. It was an odd thing, to hear that in an elf.

"And you did really well, Belwar." Targyle also sounded tired. "Good thing that Concentration is a CON-Based skill!"

"I realize that we've gone over the details already, but remember (so that the GM an be sure that it's written SOMEwhere), you can activate the spell at your will, and the dweomer will be active for several hands. But it's a one-time affair...the spell will be consumed in the using."

Targyle sat heavily in one of the oak chairs while Trillomore escorted Belwar to the door. "And get a fair meal before you go to bed, Belwar. Your participation in the ritual has drained you more than you realize; if you don't eat and sleep well now, you'll be dragging for a full week."

"Do you have any further questions?"

Ahem...do you have  any further questions?

"Do I have any further questions?" Belwar asked incredulously.

"More than I can count, to be sure," he said with a resigned sigh.

"The uh," he had trouble saying it. "spell... it won't be damaged iffin I need use me axe for that which it was designed?"

For chopping wood? No. :)

"The only way that the dweomer will be lost is if the bit was sundered." Trillomore answered, laying an elegant finger upon the business end of the weapon. "For that is where the spell is housed." He looked at Belwar, as if trying to determine whether the dwarf was satisfied with that answer.
