Okay, having re-read some ICDs (Thanks Johan) The tongues spell was just a one shot deal. I have no idea how to communicate with the ants from here on, unless Himo brought a scroll.

Based on an instant message discussion I had with Steve: I'm not sure who else played this particular game. I feel like

I recall entering the chasm, and (someone) spotting ogres perched on either side of the entrance, though they were asleep I think... I believe we managed to kill one with ranged, but got pelted by the other.

Somehow, they didn't raise an alarm though... I remember one of the Garachi healing Belwar.

Belwar entered the chasm, while the Garachi stayed out of sight with whomever else was with the group... I can't recall who played that session with us...

There are three fires in the chasm, one surrounded by Humans, one by Gnolls and Orcs, a third by Kobolds and goblins. There seemed to be some in-fighting among one or both of the latter two...

Belwar talked with the humans, and they were some kind of forest clan folk. I seem to recall that they were passing through, or perhaps came to trade or something, and were detained... They were sort of putting up a happy face, but they were very scared, and said that someone* wouldn't let them leave...

*this someone, I can't recall the name right now, but it was the person for whom Dannobar and Melzak worked... I BELIEVE it was Urguth, a prick from Belwar's past, but I could be wrong... I get the feeling that I'm forgetting about someone.I believe Belwar told the guys at the fire, that he intended to get them out of there somehow, to which they were cautiously relieved, but remained skeptical.

I think Belwar returned to the Garachi and ... Mirri? Zurn? and that's where we left it.

Laren waits eagerly... Though somehow, he had a feeling he already knew the name.

Very good then, that's what I thought.

Laren muttered something that could have been construed as gratitude and shambled his way through the door. The sneaky side of him was giddy; things like secret doors did that to him. A few years back, he'd have loved to worm his way into the basement of a bar. Today it was simply something he had to do.

I'm having a little difficult reading into the nuances of what she said. I don't really remember the original introduction Laren had to her... I am pretty sure they'd never actually met, but Gibble said to ask for the honey butter, I believe... But I'm not exactly sure if her reaction was one that she'd give anyone who asked for the honeybutter, or if it's an indication that she understands the question as Laren is asking it.

I made a sense motive check of 17... Does Laren get that *nudge**nudge**wink**wink* feeling from her?

Harrison was tired. It'd been a long day that left him with more questions than answers, though he hated asking questions. Instead he liked to try to analyze things for himself. He found that if he remained observant, with a little luck his questions were usually answered in due course anyway. That way, he could pretend he knew all along. He didn't like looking like he didn't know something. The problem with that approach was that if the information didn't present itself, he'd simply never know.

"Alright," he said wearily. "Thanks."

His thanks tasted a little sour in his mouth. Yes, Michael was helping him, but he really seemed a little more interested in the outcome than someone who was just doing a good deed would be.

Harrison wondered if Michael's motivation was to have another set of eyes in the Clergy, rather than another friend.

Whichever it was, Harrison would take it. If they wanted to use him, he was fine with using them.
