Sat down to re-read this, ended up appalled by the writing of it... Set out to edit, ended up re-writing a fair bit of it.

OOC: The Book was (and presumably still is) in Vallen's backpack.

Belwar bobbed his head. "Yah, I'm thinkin it probably was. You'll recall, when last we met, he tried simply asking peacefully for it's return. Those were the actions of someone out of options."

Belwar turned to Faznar, "Lewk, Ah thenk we maybe workin toward different goals, but our paths be the same. Iff'n I had me druthers, both Melzak and Urguth would be in the fryin pan together. If yer of a mind, I thenk we could use the help and the humorous distraction."

He turned to the rest of the group. "Ah thenk it's for the best that I tell ye all a little bit about why I came to tha keep in the first place. It's a bit of a story, but the short of it is, I'm wanted fer killin me father and tha son of a council membar, both crimes are Urguth's doin. And, I believe he stole a Great Axe I'd made for me father."

...He decided he'd wait though, until Zurn was done (diplomatically) talking with Faznar.

Belwar wanted to be angry, but he had to admit the illusion was clever. He didn't bother saying that he wouldn't have known what his mother had smelled like anyway.

The urge to cleave the little bastard was there, but not nearly as sharp as it would have been only a few short weeks ago.

I must be getting old, he mused to himself.

It occurred to Belwar then, that he ought to share his story with the group, if only so that they knew the kind of person they were up against.

Belwar snorted, suddenly seething with ire, "No he bloody is not, he's bad news, and by Moradin, I'll have his head on a pike!"

I may need some help with this, if we're to resurrect it as a face to face game - Especially if I were to convert it to 4E, since I know nothing about GMing 4th.

Was that a "How do you keep an idiot in suspense" joke?

Was just re-reading some of the ICDs and such. I'd love to give this campaign another shot. Any interest?

Laren wasn't connecting the dots that Gibble apparently already had.

"Not sure I follow," Laren said. "The stink of this outfit has me too distracted to think straight."

Laren chuckeled as he came out from behind the tapestry. "Heh, and here I thought you were known for your subtly."

"I'd really like to get this stinking outfit off of me. I'm not sure it was such a great idea anyway," Laren said disappointingly.

Laren stood quietly, not exactly sure how to announce his own presence. Clearing his throat seemed a little too pedestrian. He also wasn't exactly sure if his eavesdropping may have been rude. Then again, he was only following Gibble's instructions...

He also wrestled with his intrigue into what he'd just witnessed. Very interesting stuff, but not the sort of thing he was really hoping to find, dressing up like Oscar and all. He'd really hoped to find some sort of answer to his problem with Crimson. He knew whatever was going on was important, and could certainly amount to some valuable information, but he couldn't help feeling like he'd grabbed the tail of the wrong rat. It was rather disappointing.

Laren was a pretty simply change. It's just a vanilla rogue for the most part anyway. Only special things about him is the ring, the eye (which I don't even know the capabilities of) and the blood hook.

Course, when I got the PDF sheets from WF (which are downloadable at I tossed that sheet anyway, intending to fill out a specialized sheet for him... so I'll be doing it all again anyway.

Laren's lip curled slightly in distaste as he pieced together what'd just happened. Although he was intrigued by whatever the Eye had just done, he was all the more eager to rid himself of it.

Laren tried to shake the bad taste it left in his mouth, while trying to figure out if he'd ever met or heard of someone named Vasago.

Okay, having re-read some ICDs (Thanks Johan) The tongues spell was just a one shot deal. I have no idea how to communicate with the ants from here on, unless Himo brought a scroll.

Based on an instant message discussion I had with Steve: I'm not sure who else played this particular game. I feel like

I recall entering the chasm, and (someone) spotting ogres perched on either side of the entrance, though they were asleep I think... I believe we managed to kill one with ranged, but got pelted by the other.

Somehow, they didn't raise an alarm though... I remember one of the Garachi healing Belwar.

Belwar entered the chasm, while the Garachi stayed out of sight with whomever else was with the group... I can't recall who played that session with us...

There are three fires in the chasm, one surrounded by Humans, one by Gnolls and Orcs, a third by Kobolds and goblins. There seemed to be some in-fighting among one or both of the latter two...

Belwar talked with the humans, and they were some kind of forest clan folk. I seem to recall that they were passing through, or perhaps came to trade or something, and were detained... They were sort of putting up a happy face, but they were very scared, and said that someone* wouldn't let them leave...

*this someone, I can't recall the name right now, but it was the person for whom Dannobar and Melzak worked... I BELIEVE it was Urguth, a prick from Belwar's past, but I could be wrong... I get the feeling that I'm forgetting about someone.I believe Belwar told the guys at the fire, that he intended to get them out of there somehow, to which they were cautiously relieved, but remained skeptical.

I think Belwar returned to the Garachi and ... Mirri? Zurn? and that's where we left it.
