In Character Discussions / Laren talks privately to Kit
« on: April 25, 2005, 01:56:36 PM »
"Really? The way you carry on with the people here in town I would have thought you a long time resident," she said, again trying to smile, trying to ignore the tears.

"What line of work are you in? Are you a mercenary for hire, or were you a salesman in your pre-Threshold life?"

"Well, my guess is that if Ashe can heal what's wrong with these guys with his art, then he is the man to learn from."

"Uth'Ranek".

"I think we should help Ragnor with the two boys, even his strength is being tested by this long walk."

With that, Kit sprints up ahead to help Ragnor.

Laren discovers that Kit has been there all night helping Ashe with his work. Refusing to leave the boys, she fell asleep sitting in a chair next to them. She has a blanket that Ashe put on her, Laren's entry did not make her stir.

Grush sees Mel run by the Mess Hall (tent).

"Hay litel man wate for me!"

Grush chases the little halfling down, as quick as he is, he can't match the half-orc's long stride.

"Her's your dagr."

That sounds fine.  I think we're all used to it this way now.  It looks like it's becoming a standard house rule for all the games now, yes?

No, the MSI GM is a hard arse, he makes you roll 2 of the class hit dice and you get to keep the highest roll.

What a bastard!  :evil:

I read the brief history and current events quickly. I am very impressed with what appears to be a fantastic storyline.

Are humans the predominant races within all the city states? Do they rule over these four?

D&D definitely want to be included, especially since Mel hasn't stopped talking about it since it was found. They consider it a payment well earned.

No, no, no. U misunderstood. The payment is not for fighting, it's for Mel's talking.

WF,

We don't have to review ALL the finer points, but in general, I have multiple questions;

If we do spoken histories of our characters, does it make the assumption that our characters have already met?

Can we use place-holder names that Matt likes to use (i.e. "The Desert Sands of Nowhere"), for revision by you at a later time?

Can a couple (or all) of us incorporate each other into our backgrounds?

Character Creation;

- Ability score generation? #d6 times #, reroll any 1's?

- What races aren't allowed? (i.e. Bug men from EPHB, or dark-skinned halflings)

- What classes aren't allowed?

- Can we play any alignment?

- Are there any (common use) abilities not allowed? (i.e. healing spells)

- Maximum starting hit points?

- Maximum starting gold?

I am sure you have addressed most of these issues, but if you could place the answers to these general inquiries here in this post, I would be most obliged.

And no, I have no idea what I want to play yet. But I will have a complete character this Saturday night.

 :D
