Mel knew that Amaril had answered, but the halfling wasn't quite sure what his tent-mate had said. Though given that the answer was short he was sure that it wasn't actually an answer of any sort.

"And what about the smell that accompanies your spell casting?"

Mel's eyes shifted in the dark; he wondered if he had said that, or did he only think it. He held his breath.

"This couldn't wait until morning Mel?" asked the sleepy Amaril.

Mel thought him grumpy, as he had observed Amalia giving him a cold shoulder at beachstock.

T'Riad opens his eyes and his about to answer sarcastically in the hopes of quieting the little halfling. Realizing that this attempt would not only be fruitless but could actually cause him to get louder, T'Riad stays quiet.

Then he starts to think about the question. T'Riad thinks to himself, "That's a good question. Perhaps it's just simply two different routes up to the top of the same mountain. I wonder what Amaril will say to explain this"

Hearing the soft waves dance up to the shore T'Riad waits for the answer.
