Duthash Albyr Arkus [4 May, 237 VY] Kit leaves before breakfast (very early for Kit) and walks over to Julius' house. Knocking on his door, hoping that he is not an early riser and has already stepped out.

Kit turned and walked towards the shop she was having a silk belt made, they must be open by now, she thought.

She now had so much to do today. She needed to go to the leathery to get some pieces of leather for Jarmock's armor. She sure hoped Kyle would be in the back of the shop working. It was only two days ago that she had run from him and his gift, she couldn't bear to face him yet. Then she needed to go to Spinners and get some proper thread for this very tough looking leather. Maybe some of that silver thread he had used on Julius cloak?

She would be better off getting him a new armor piece all together, it was amazing the piece he wore still held together. Thank Paladine she had thought to leave it hidden under the Rosewalk, what would people have thought? Her carrying around that bloody thing. This, of course, reminded her that she needed to go get it out of hiding at the Rosewalk.

Then she had to buy some parchment and ink. She needed to leave the members of the Protecterate some notes, so they would gather at the Stump tomorrow night. That idea now worked two fold, she was glad she thought of it while talking to Jarmock earlier.

She skipped her way along happy with her tasks ahead of her.

"i'll see Spinner later this morning...travel well Kit" Julius continues his walk to the council house.

"That would be great, thank you Julius." After a pause and look down another road she said, "well, I am off. Thank you so much for your time Julius. I am sure we will see each other again shortly."

She gave a small curtsy.

Wildfire

"Well i don't see much of a problem with that, so long as the Protectorate remains your proirity. i'm sure Spinner could use the extra hand at her shop...especially since the Valleyseekers will really start to be coming through town...i'd say in the next week the inns will be full and the field will have caravans resting. i'm sure some of the other seamstresses would love to have someone else to gossip with in their sewing circle. if you want i could put in a word for you."

Julius caught a glimpse of uncomfort in her features, as she appeared to contemplate her words carefully.

"I am originally from Uth'Ranek, but haven't been there since my belt-height years. My parents died when their merchant caravan was raided by bandits, I was moved to Aldebaron to live with my Uncle shortly after. He turned out to be a drunk and was no pleasure to grow up with. When I started having trouble with a man who was obsessed with me, I skipped town and came here."

They walked quietly for a bit, while Julius thought upon her words.

Kit broke the silence first, staring down the road as she said, "Spinner is quite talented. I wonder Julius. I seem to have a lot of time on my hands. Would it be out of ettiquette to hold down a profession when not working as a member of the Protecterate? I've been told in the past that I am quite the seamstress. Perhaps Spinner needs some help?"

Wildfire

Julius chuckling just a bit says,"A story? not really. it was gift from Torrent and Spinner. Torrent made the clasp and the silver thread and Spinner did the rest. it's really quite a nice cloak. they gave it to me because 'without me Threshold wouldn't be what it is today' they said. i'm not sure about that. i just do what i think is best. so, Uth'ranek, eh? i'm actually from a coastal town not too far from there...by water at least. what brings you all the way over here? you're fairly young. to be so far from home at your age, while not unheard of, is unusual." Julius, speaking to her with a sort of fatherly concern, kept glancing over to see any sort of expression on her face.

"Uth'Ranek originally. Although I refuse to say 'yar' like so many do there. That is quite the beautiful cloak you have there. Is there a story behind it?" she asked.

Wildfire

"oh please no...you don't have to do that. you are a guest in my house and i'm the host...please leave them on the table" Julius says.

he escorts Kit into the living room where he gets a dark blue cloak embroidered with silver thread. he throws the cloak over his shoulders allowing the cloak to fan out behind him. he clasps the silver chains on either side of the cloak hood. the clasp of the chain is round with an etching of two triangular points side by side with three circles within each other between them. as Julius and Kit approach the entry door Julius looks at her and says, "where are you from? the east i would guess by your accent. it is familiar to me."

"Oh my goodness! I hadn't thought of the time." she exclaimed, immediately flushing with embarassment.

"No Julius, that is all for now. Thank you so much for your time, but I will walk with you until I get to Tailors shop, I am having this beautiful silk belt made." She said as she helped Julius clean up the kitchen.

Wildfire

"no problem Kit. i'll be sure to tell you. is there anything else that you have questions about? if so, i can discuss them with you on my way to the Council House. it's time for me to go to work."

"Yeah, I think the food burns up as soon as I swallow it. My mother was very thin, so I can eat just about anything," Kit stated. She nibbled on her bread, lost in thought for a moment.

She broke from her brief reverie and said, "Well, then its just a matter of waiting for them to show then."

She finished her last bite of bread and sipped her coffee while Julius watched her with amusement.

"When the High Priest comes to Threshold, could you tell him that I wish to speak with him at his earliest convenience?" Kit asked. Anticipating the question Julius appeared to be about to ask, she added, "I owe much to the House of Paladine. I want to personally make myself available to the priesthood for anything I can do for them."

Wildfire

"i can almost guarantee that they'll return. i'll know when they do because they'll have to come see the council for the keys to unlock their temples. until they do arrive it will have to be Ashe that gives the protectorate healing medicine" Julius looks at her quizically and says, "for a small girl you can certainly eat a healthy share of food. That or your just really hungry. would you like some more coffee?"

After endless minutes of chewing, Kit finally sips the water and is able to talk.

"It's delicious, but it's so sticky, I will have to take smaller bites." She put the green mug down and sipped her coffee. "Oh." she exclaimed. "That's a neat combination of flavors."

"Anyway, I am asking all these questions because I think in the Protectorate's new line of work we will be in need of healers. Do you think some of the faiths may re-establish themselves here in Threshold?"

She nibbled her sandwich.
