This conversation would have taken place the first night in the rat-house, after Kit, unbeknonwst to the rest of the party psionified the rat.

Laren's jaw drops as the rat seems to tear into Jarmol's leg, withdraw and EXPLODE! Not being *quite* as shocked as he appears, (Laren has seen a lot of wildly strange things!)  Laren allows a couple of seconds to pass, just to add to the drama.

"Jarmok, I don't know what's coursing through your veins, but I think it dissagreed with the rat's digestive system."

Laren thinks about making a "too much coffee" type of comment, but decides not to.

Laren also knows a bit about Herbs and their properties, so he helps as well.

Laren whispers to himself "Wonder if Ashe has any of that prozak..."

"Yeah, probably not a bad idea. I'll wait until they are at least stable though."

Laren complies.

Laren turned back inside and went to the kitchen to help himself to some food.

"Can I get anything for anyone else to eat?"

Laren is always doing what it takes to play people's emotions, one way or another. His favorite thing is to make them laugh, impressing and inspiring awe coming second, and at times he will offer a little philosophy, but most of the time it's got an air of jest.

He likes to spend his time relaxing when he can. Gaming, dicing but never gambling. He can usually be found at the bar, but he never drinks more than just a couple. Now and then he will tell a story just a little louder than normal to get a larger crowd. He only tells stories that end happily or comedically.

Laren is a very supersticious individual.

Interestingly enough, I was going to post a very simiar thing as well!

I just wanted to apologize for being... well, short... no pun intended... with you at the herb shop. I'm really into the whole herb/meds thing. I've had a lot weighing on my mind lately too. I have been waiting for my father, he's supposed to meet me here, but he's long over due. Anyway, sorry to be such a pill.  :)

"It seems that you are no exactly relishing the idea of being there?"

"Ah, yes"... "Yes, I am happy too... you know, I was just kidding when I said I wasn't worried about taking them alive..." Laren looks around to make sure no one else heard that...

"I had only gotten here a few days prior to our meeting, but I feel like I've been here forever!" Laren gestures, grandly throwing his arms out wide!

"I come originally from the city of Kurr. and yourself?"

"I make myself at home, wherever I am. Think about it this way: if you were to welcome someone into your house, would you want them to feel any less than at home?? Of course not! You would want them as comfortable as humanly (or halflingly, if you will) possible."

"So I just skip the middle-man, and take the liberties. Better to ask for forgiveness than to wait for permission, you know?"

"As far as work, well... I did what had to be done... little bit of everything, you know? Herbs were always a part of it, in ... one way, or another..."

"I certainly hope so!"

"I didn't catch where you said you were from either..."

Laren calls ahead "Give 'em to me, I'll carry them!"
