Title: character info
Post by: Wildfire on March 14, 2005, 04:52:08 PM
Hey guys, we've been posting the backstories of our characters and descriptions for the other campaigns. i would like to do the same for Threshold as it matures. i would suggest that if you do post backstories that you post the story that you tell everybody as the facts and the telling could be different.

Matt, could you make a section in the Threshold chapter for character descriptions and backstory?

I would tend to agree, but I will submit that there are things that you might notice or not depending upon the circumstances under which you meet my character.

I think that I would re-define the guidelines to say "things that you would notice about so-and-so after a few moments aquaintence.

WF,

We don't have to review ALL the finer points, but in general, I have multiple questions;

If we do spoken histories of our characters, does it make the assumption that our characters have already met?

Can we use place-holder names that Matt likes to use (i.e. "The Desert Sands of Nowhere"), for revision by you at a later time?

Can a couple (or all) of us incorporate each other into our backgrounds?

Character Creation;

- Ability score generation? #d6 times #, reroll any 1's?

- What races aren't allowed? (i.e. Bug men from EPHB, or dark-skinned halflings)

- What classes aren't allowed?

- Can we play any alignment?

- Are there any (common use) abilities not allowed? (i.e. healing spells)

- Maximum starting hit points?

- Maximum starting gold?

I am sure you have addressed most of these issues, but if you could place the answers to these general inquiries here in this post, I would be most obliged.

And no, I have no idea what I want to play yet. But I will have a complete character this Saturday night.

 :D
