Title: Threshold Game Log Discussion
Post by: fraz on March 20, 2005, 12:20:36 PM
Hey all,

I just posted the 1st Episode of the Threshold log.

I think I got most of the events down, but I know there is a lot of missing information.  Each of you should feel free to edit the log to elaborate on and embellish your character's actions or intentions.  It was a bit difficult to follow everything that went on while I was typing.

Also, while I think I got all of the PC names correct, I'm sure I misspelled some of the NPC names (and I didn't even have a name for Jarmok's mentor).  Dru, feel free to make the corrections in the log if you like.

Anyone who would rather just post corrections or info in here can do that instead, of course, and I will be happy to pop in occasionally and work it into the log.

Anyway, thanks for GMing, Dru!  That was fun and I'm definitely looking forward to more!

I think when i wrote that it was to mark something as if to say: "Johan, if there's anything that you wish to add here by all means please do". how you would actually know that's what i meant i'm not totally sure. i did the same up at the top when i wrote
Quote[Jarmok accepts the offer]

the brackets can go. i'm sure that if there's anything anyone wants to edit they'll do it with or without brackets.

I dunno. I think that this was part of what WF input; I think the brackets can come out.

Quote from: fraz...an edited thread doesn't actually pop up in the "view posts since last visit" catagory.  Maybe just a note in here mentioning that you've modified it is good enough?

This was my realization too (that it doesn't flag itself as "new"). This is also why I feel like I should have posted the specific changes in a different thread; that way, we can all easily see what I've done, and someone (usually Wildfire) has a different recollection, more accurate or less, and that triggers additional details...yaddah, yaddah, yaddah.

In the future, I'll post my additions in it's own thread. Once we've hashed it out and incorporated them, we could simply delete the "editing" thread.

yes, that is my definition of "official"...done. if there are any questions please feel free to ask. Fraz, if you would please correct any spleling errorres i wood apresciate it.

with the log, all who were involved in the session are free to give any input as to their recollection of events. i figure that this is already being done but i'm stating it for the record. cheers!

What does this mean exactly?  If "official" = done, then I'd say not quite.  I'll still be tweaking it a bit - mostly to correct any spelling and grammatical errors that may have snuck through undetected.

Johan:

How come the passage above (quoted from the log) is in brackets?  Does it need to be?

Quote from: JohanI'm thinking that in the future I should probably add the information that I have in another thread and they can be ratified and integrated. That way, we all know what's being added, and can respond without unilateral modification.

Well, that's sort of what this thread is for, ya?  Or you can post it into another new thread like Wildfire did.  Anyway, I kinda forgot that an edited thread doesn't actually pop up in the "view posts since last visit" catagory.  Maybe just a note in here mentioning that you've modified it is good enough?

I added all the salient detail that I could spot. Unless there are any other additions?

I'm thinking that in the future I should probably add the information that I have in another thread and they can be ratified and integrated. That way, we all know what's being added, and can respond without unilateral modification.

Thoughts?

Crown prince...you're foiling my plots!

You know, I forgot ta tell y'all that I mucked with the log this weekend. I added stuff like Jarmok's physical description and some details about his prowling about. Plus, he's a crown prince now.

Nothing too dramatic.

i hope that my calendar terminolgy doesn't get in the way. i think that over time it will be less awkward...right now it's just new to us (trust me, it's new to me too). i would like to keep the "real life" date in parentheses so that it will be easier to understand...and maybe we'll become fluent with it after a while.

i'll do the editing tonight. the date was actually after bloombring...more like Gorrish Arek Basque (april 23). but i never actually specified the exact date...which occurred to me on the ride home from the session.

I am not positive, but I think the owner of the stump was Garret, not Garrek... Wildfire?
